How do I send files for transcription?
Audio/video files can be uploaded to our secure drop box. You can also send downloadable links by pasting the links on a document and uploading it to the drop box.
What is the turnaround time?
The turnaround time is 2-5 business days for most recordings.
To get the exact turnaround time, please request a quote.
How will I receive transcripts?
You will receive a secure link to your transcript/s on the designated delivery date.
Can I ask for transcripts to be formatted to my specifications?
Yes, we can provide customized formatting for transcripts. Please mention instructions at the time of requesting a quote. If you are a returning customer, you can mention new instructions at the time of uploading.
Can you add time codes?
Yes, we can add periodic time codes to the transcript. If you need time codes to be noted from a video, we can do that as well.
How do I send instructions/questions?
Please mention instructions at the time of requesting a quote. If you are a returning customer, you can mention new instructions when uploading files. You can also write directly to info@indianscribes.com.
What size of files can I upload?
The drop box can accommodate up to 10 GB at a time. There are no file-size limits.
Do you transcribe videos from links?
Yes, we do. Please request a quote with details of the videos for more information or paste the links on a document and upload it to the drop box.
How do I pay?
We accept payments mainly through PayPal and Bank transfers. An invoice will be sent within 24 hours of receiving audio files.
Payments are due in advance.
How will my audio be transcribed?
Our network of transcriptionists is spread over India, US, UK, Philippines, Australia, and South Africa. Your audio will be transcribed, proofed and edited by members of this network.
Which accents do you work with?
We can handle all accents as long as the audio is clearly recorded. Some accents we work with include Australian, Scottish, Irish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, African, Chinese, Japanese and Indian.
Do I need to sign up for an account?
No, there is no sign-up required.
What format will my transcript be in?
We use MS Word by default. If you need a specific format, just say so.
Which file formats do you accept?
We work with all major file formats including MP3, WAV, DSS, and other audio and video formats.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes, you will receive a branded invoice within 24 hours of uploading recordings to the drop box.
I am a returning customer, how do I send more files for transcription?
You can simply upload files to the drop box and mention the turnaround time required. We’ll send you an invoice and begin work on the files within 48 hours.
If you have files coming up for transcription at a future date, you can make a prior booking to ensure a faster delivery.
